The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice starting at 5:00 PM today (Friday) for the Cannock Chase area. As rain and sleet clear, temperatures are expected to drop below freezing, creating dangerous conditions on untreated roads and pavements tonight. Gritters are expected to be out across the district throughout the evening.
