We collect information to provide a better experience for all our members in the Cannock area:
- Account Details: When you register, we store your display name, email address, and profile avatar to identify you within the community.
- Reels and Media: Videos you record or upload to the Hub Reels section are stored on our secure servers. We also track the number of views each reel receives to show engagement.
- Chat Messages: Direct messages between friends are stored to allow you to view your conversation history.
- Wall Posts: Information posted on your social wall or friends’ walls is stored as part of your social profile.
2. Commenting and News
To maintain a high-quality experience, commenting is disabled for all news posts on Cannock Hub. We do not collect or store public comments on news articles.
3. Media Permissions
When using the Reel Maker, we request access to your device’s camera and microphone.
- Live Stream: The camera feed is used only for the preview and recording of your 30-second reel.
- Storage: Only the final recorded video that you choose to “Share” is uploaded and stored on our servers.
4. Data Usage and Security
- Views: View counts are tracked anonymously. We do not publicly share who has viewed a specific reel.
- Third Parties: We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Data is used strictly for the functionality of Cannock Hub features (like friend requests and notifications).
- Security: We use industry-standard encryption to protect your media and messages.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to delete your content at any time. Deleting a Reel will permanently remove the video file from our servers. You may also update your profile information or delete your account through your settings.
