Staffordshire Police have issued a stark warning to parents after armed officers were deployed to Cannock Park on Stafford Road. A 999 call reported a man with a handgun, triggering an immediate firearms response. Upon arrival, officers discovered the “weapon” was actually a BB gun. A 14-year-old was also found with a replica Desert Eagle toy. Chief Inspector Lee Walker warned that such incidents put people in “dangerous situations” and drain vital resources, urging the public to think twice before carrying toy guns in public.
