Commuters in Cannock faced a difficult journey today as two lanes of the M6 Northbound in Staffordshire were closed following a significant multi-vehicle collision. National Highways reported that the crash caused severe congestion reaching back past the M6 Toll merge. Emergency services attended the scene to clear debris and assist those involved. Recovery work took several hours, causing “stop-start” traffic through the Cannock corridor for most of the afternoon. Drivers are being advised to check for residual delays before heading out for the evening rush.
