A new proactive policing operation has been launched today targeting rural theft and anti-social behavior in the Hednesford Hills and surrounding farm areas. “Operation Spark” involves increased night-time patrols and the use of drone technology to monitor hotspots where illegal fly-tipping and agricultural machinery theft have risen. Local officers met with community leaders this morning to discuss the impact on local farmers and residents living on the edge of the Chase. Police are encouraging anyone with CCTV or doorbell footage of suspicious vehicles in the Hednesford area between midnight and 4:00 AM to upload it via the digital evidence portal.
