Council: Local Students Take Over Chamber for Historic “Leader’s Debate”

Over 40 students from schools including Hednesford Valley High, St Peter’s, and John Bamford Primary took over the Council Chamber today for the first-ever Leader’s School Debate. Young people debated local issues and healthy school food in front of a panel including Council Leader Steve Thornley and MP Josh Newbury. The event has been hailed as a major success for local youth engagement.
