The Staffordshire Rural Wildlife Crime team has been visiting farms, liveries, and rural properties across the Cannock Chase District this week to help landowners protect their property, equipment, and livestock.
During the visits, officers carried out security marking, conducted on-site safety assessments, and offered practical crime-prevention advice tailored to each property. These efforts are part of the team’s ongoing commitment to supporting rural communities and reducing opportunities for crime.
Visits like these also strengthen trust between officers and residents, helping the team understand local challenges and work closely with communities to prevent theft and other offences. And naturally, some friendly Shetland ponies made an appearance for a quick photo opportunity!
Residents living in the Cannock Chase area who would like a visit from a local Rural Crime Officer can contact the team via RWCU.Cannock@staffordshire.police.uk.
